Terms The rules, kept short.

These terms cover the Tidy Giant private beta. By using it you agree to them. Effective November 1, 2026.

A beta, by invitation

Tidy Giant is in private beta and accounts are by invitation only. We are still building it, so it is offered as is: features can change, slow down or stop, and we may pause the beta or end an invitation.

What Tidy Giant does, and doesn't promise

Tidy Giant points out likely problems in your code and can propose fixes as pull requests. Findings can be wrong or incomplete, and a clean scan does not mean your code has no bugs or security issues.

Every change arrives as a pull request. Tidy Giant never writes to your default branch and never merges. Review each pull request yourself; merging it is your decision.

Your repositories

Connect only repositories you have the right to connect. Your code stays yours. We use it only to provide the scans, cleanups, plans, answers and checks you ask for, as described in our privacy notice.

During the beta, a repository can be scanned if its archive is up to 50 MB with up to 5,000 files. A cleanup needs an archive of up to 16 MiB.

Fair use

Don't use Tidy Giant to attack or probe systems you don't own, to get around its limits or security, to disrupt the service or other users, to share or resell access without our permission, or to break the law. We may suspend or end an account that does.

Plans and payments

Connecting GitHub and choosing repositories need no plan. Scans, Tidy Plans, Ask Giant and cleanups need a paid plan. Each plan is sold as a monthly subscription or as a 6-month subscription, billed in US dollars by our payment processor, Stripe. There is no free trial. The plans, their prices and what each includes are shown on our pricing page and in the app before you subscribe.

Automatic renewal. A monthly subscription renews automatically every month, and Stripe charges the payment method you gave at the start of each monthly period at your plan's current price, until you cancel. A 6-month subscription is charged its full 6-month price when you subscribe, renews automatically every 6 months, and Stripe charges the payment method you gave at the start of each 6-month period at your plan's current 6-month price, until you cancel. If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then.

Cancelling. You can cancel online at any time in Manage billing on the Billing page of the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal: your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing more is charged.

Refunds. Payments are not refunded for a period you have started, in whole or in part, except where the law requires a refund. For a 6-month subscription the period is the 6 months: cancelling part way through gives no partial refund, and your plan stays active until those 6 months end. If you were charged in error, email info@tidygiant.com and we will put it right.

Switching. You can change your plan in Manage billing, but not your billing period. To move between monthly and 6-month billing, cancel in Manage billing; your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. When it has ended, subscribe again and choose the other billing period.

Taxes. Prices do not include taxes. If a tax applies to your purchase, it is shown before you pay.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may try it again. Until it succeeds, scans, Tidy Plans, Ask Giant and cleanups pause; your workspace and its records stay readable.

Credits. Each plan grants its monthly Tidy Credits, which cleanups use, every month on either billing period: a 6-month subscription receives them one month at a time, not all 6 months at once. On a 6-month subscription, after you move to a higher plan, its larger credits begin with the first monthly grant after a full month on it. If a 6-month payment is refunded and the subscription ends early, the credits it granted that you have not used end with it. If a cleanup's branch has been pushed to your repository and your own action then stops its pull request, because you closed the pull request, deleted the branch, uninstalled or suspended the Cleanup App, or removed the repository from it, the credits for its analysis and its change are used and the rest of its reserve is returned. If anything on our side or GitHub's stops it, no credits are used. Credits have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money, and are not transferable or refundable.

Ending your use

You can stop using Tidy Giant at any time and ask us to delete your workspace or account, as our privacy notice describes. We may suspend or end your access, or end the beta, with notice where we reasonably can. Pull requests we already opened stay in your repository until you delete them.

Liability

No warranties. Because this is a beta, Tidy Giant is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that its findings or proposed changes will be correct.

Your review. You remain responsible for reviewing, testing and deciding whether to merge every pull request, and for your code and systems. Tidy Giant never merges.

Limit of liability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims about Tidy Giant is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim arose and USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Who we are. These terms are an agreement between you and Tidy Giant, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Tidy Giant”, “we”).

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.

Help and changes

Questions, problems or a bad pull request: email info@tidygiant.com. If we change these terms, we will update this page and say so before the change takes effect. If you keep using Tidy Giant after that, the new terms apply.
